Sr. Informatica Developer
Job Duties:
Unica Group, Inc in Mechanicsburg, PA seeks Sr. Informatica Developer. Responsible for the development of ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) code. Design/Develop ETL Interface using Informatica tool. In addition, implement an Informatica based ETL solution fulfilling stringent performance requirements. Develop/Implement the coding of Informatica mappings for different stages of ETL. Move staging table to the target table. Design, code, unit test ETL packages, triggers, and stored procedures, views, SQL transactions. Understand and comply with development standards and SDLC to ensure consistency across the project. Design and develop Informatica PowerCenter mappings including transformations, mappings, mapplets, workflows, workflow monitor. Utilize Informatica repository manager, designer, workflow manager & workflow monitor, to manage and administer ETL jobs. Design, schedule, execute and monitor ETL jobs, including necessary exception handling & balance and control measures. Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning. Create, test and refine SQL queries to support data profiling and data management. Support installation, upgrades, and testing of Informatica components. Perform data profiling, data standardization, data transformations, data loads. Perform detailed data profiling and end-to-end data management analysis to understand data issues, and to identify potential options to resolve issues. Support phases of the project lifecycle including requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, support, and documentation. Analyze, document and define data management processes, both batch and real-time. Evaluate data management and data governance practices to provide options and recommendations. Create clear deliverable materials for a range of recipients including technical teams, business teams, project leads and executives.Travel: Must be willing to travel and relocate to unanticipated client locations in the U.S. Telecommuting from home allowed from anywhere in the United States when not needed at client site.
Job Requirements:
Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or a related role. Job Duties:

Gather and analyze functional requirements with the Business Analyst team to identify challenges and risks to existing systems to provide robust technical solutions. Create detail technical design documents to implement the business requirements and user stories. Develop rich and responsiveness User Interface screens for medical assistance, Food Stamp, and Cash Assistance application features. Perform validations, user interaction events, partial page updates, and performance features using client-side programming. Develop service-oriented layers, business access and data access layers and other reusable layers of application using industry best practices to improve data flow in the application from front-end to back-end. Create and manage database packages, functions, triggers, stored procedures, tables, indexes and Day 0 Scripts as per business requirements to stable the application. Plan, code, execute unit tests to detect bugs and validate each unit to ensure it generates expected results as per the system functionality and design. Involved in UAT and Integration testing for application. Involved in builds and deployment process to provide support to RM (Release management) team and ensure to test Risk Base Authentication (RBA) and SiteMinder response and functionality after a Production/Patch release and document with screenshots. Conduct impact and feasibility analysis and following the SDLC life cycle. Create mappings using transformations like Source Qualifier, Aggregator, Expression, Lookup, Router, Filter, Rank, Sequence Generator and Update Strategy. Create mapplets, reusable transformations and using them in various types of mappings. Design mappings using mapping parameters and mapping variables. Use Informatica Debugger for debugging mappings. Implement slowly changing dimensions (SCD) – Type II mappings as per various requirements. Successfully load data into different targets from various source systems like flat files, Oracle DB, SQL server into the target database like Oracle, flat files and XML. Create views, functions and stored procedures as per different requirements and debugging when required. Involved in unit testing, system testing to check whether the data which is extracted from various source systems as per user requirements, is loaded into the target accurately. Run scripts on multiple servers for DML and DDL (day 0 data scripts, database object creation etc.) to make sure all the data is valid. Use Informatica Workflow Manager to create workflows. Work with pre-session and post-session SQL scripts. Make use of post-session success and post-session failure commands in the session task to execute scripts needed for cleanup and update purposes. Use workflow monitor to monitor and run workflows. Involved in production support which also includes troubleshooting issues. Work closely with the testing team and assisting them in creating test cases. Design mappings with mapping parameters and mapping variables. Work with the DBAs to fine tune SQL queries for better performance. Create deployment groups for deploying the mappings from one environment to the other. Design and develop various business reports using Crystal report based on client requirements. Design, develop and implement plan contract management databases and related activities using SQL, Adobe, Toad etc. Provided required support for internal\external auditors to obtain information about systems. Perform control activities, ensure compliance, run User Access Reports and Firefighter Log Reports using Oracle Database and Crystal reports. Develop automated scripts and queries to support various business requirements using tools such as Team Foundation Server and SQL Developer. Perform migration/data scrambling of Oracle Databases into various client environments. Manage Microsoft AD directory operations to provide various security permissions and role/groups for projects, also perform end user troubleshooting. Identify and address any issues during production system outages. Follow project plan and procedure advised by leadership and provide updates on regular basis.
